The mission of the Central Virginia HIV CARE Consortium (CVHCC) is to improve the quality, availability and coordination of healthcare and support services for HIV infection individuals and families who are affected throughout the Central Region (Health District Four).

The Consortium is a group of concerned professionals and persons living with HIV who provide an array of services including:


  • Medical and dental care;
  • Case management;
  • Prevention case management;
  • Financial assistance;
  • Transportation to medical and other appointments;
  • Mental health and substance abuse counseling;
  • Assistance with housing;
  • Assistance to pay for medicines used in the treatment of HIV;
  • Nutritional support;
  • Community mobilization;
  • Peer advocacy;
  • Capacity building/Technical assistance;
  • And other support services for persons who are infected or affected by HIV/AIDS
